GROVE CITY, PA— The Grove City Wolverines defeated the Houghton Highlanders on Saturday afternoon to remain unbeaten through their first six games.
A combination of 17 Houghton turnovers and only 19 percent shooting put the Highlanders in hole early in the first half. The Wolverines grabbed 30 first half rebounds, including 14 on the offensive end, in route to a 42-14 halftime lead.
In the second half Grove City continued to play well on the offensive end, outscoring Houghton 24-16 in the third quarter.
Houghton began to find their stride mid-way into the third and played lock-down defense in the final quarter, outscoring the Wolverines, 14-3.
Emie Taylor finished with 14 points on 6-of-7 shooting, eight rebounds and six blocked shots, while
Hannah Cybart scored a game-high 20 points for the Highlanders.

>> Grove City won the battle of the boards, out-rebounding Houghton, 51-40. The Wolverines converted 28 Houghton turnovers into 32 points, while the Highlanders scored 17 points off 18 Grove City turnovers.

>> Sedona Campbell led the Wolverines with 15 points and 11 rebounds, and Jess Bowen added 14 points.
