OSWEGO, NY –In their season-opening match, the Houghton Highlanders watched a 1-0 halftime lead slip away, falling to the SUNY Oswego Lakers, 2-1.
Houghton grabbed an early lead mid-way through the first half when
Grace McBride found
Nicole Jennings in front of the net for a one-time score.
The Lakers, however, would storm back in the second half, knotting the score in the 53
rd minute on a corner.
Fifteen minutes later, Oswego would find the back of the cage again, putting them up for good.
