HOUGHTON, N.Y. -- Houghton women's lacrosse improved to 4-3 on the season and 2-0 in E8 play with a 10-4 win over Elmira College on Wednesday.
Elmira found the net first to take an early lead, but Houghton would storm right back with 5 unanswered goals to take the lead 5-1.  The Highlanders out scored Elmira 5-3 for the rest of the half taking a 10-4 lead into halftime.  
The Soaring Eagles came out hot scoring the first 3 goals of the second half cutting Houghton's lead to 10-7.  Houghton would withstand Elmira with a 3-0 run of their own.  The Highlanders held on for a 14-10 win.
