ALBANY, N.Y. -- Houghton women's lacrosse moved their record to 3-3 on the season and 1-0 in E8 play with an 11-10 win over The Sage Colleges on Saturday.
It seemed Houghton had the game well in hand with seven minutes left in the second half with an 11-4 lead. But the host Gators scored six-straight goals to pull within one with five seconds left and had a chance in the final seconds. However, a desperation shot by Sage was blocked by a Highlander defender.
Houghton led 7-3 at halftime.
