HOUGHTON, N.Y. – Christmas came early for Houghton women's basketball with a win against SUNY Delhi, 89-44, on Saturday afternoon.
Taking control of the court early on, the Highlanders made 14 out of 17 baskets in the first quarter, creating a lead that the Broncos were unable to overcome. By the end of the second quarter, with a basket by
Brooke Lewandowski assisted by
Allysa Pascoe, Houghton was leading 52-15.
Coach Mucher had good contribution in a game that was truly a team effort, with no one appearing on the court for more than 20 minutes.
