HOUGHTON, N.Y. – The Highlanders returned from Christmas break with a win against the Barons of Franciscan University, 66 to 52, on Friday night.
Throughout the first half of the game, it was push and pull between the Highlanders and the Barons with both teams going into halftime with 29 points. The third quarter would continue in the same way, but with a layup by
Cori Beck in the final thirty seconds, Houghton would go into the final quarter up by one (46-45); within one minute of getting back on the court, the Highlanders were down by 2 points. The Highlanders would rally, scoring 14 in a row and would go on an 18-2 run to claim another win this season.
