BROCKPORT, NY – Zoey Kasper could not have chosen a better time to score the first goal of her career.
Just over two minutes into the second half, Kasper received a pass from Sam Hirsch and deposited a hard shot from the right corner into the back of the cage for the eventual game winner as the Houghton Highlanders defeated the SUNY Brockport Golden Eagles, 2-1.
Houghton turned in a dominant first half, racking up 10 shots on the offensive end, playing a stifling defense that did not allow a single shot.

Beth Wagner at the top of the circle, and Wagner drove home her seventh goal of the season to give the Highlanders the lead.
After Kasper put the Highlanders up by two, the Golden Eagles created some life, pulling within a goal in the 47
th minute, but Houghton staved off the attack, not allowing another shot on goal for the remainder of the game to earn their second straight victory.
