GENESEO, NY – The SUNY Geneseo Knights scored a pair of first half goals to take down the Houghton Highlanders on Wednesday night, 2-0, avenging last year's 1-0 overtime defeat on Burke Field.
The Knights posted the game-winning goal just over seven minutes into the contest, then scored again with less than three minutes remaining in the half.
While the Highlanders rallied in the second period, playing shot-for-shot with the Knights, neither team could find the back of the cage, as Geneseo held on for the win.
