ROCHESTER, NY – Needing at least a split, and some help, to keep their postseason hopes alive, the Houghton Highlanders dropped the opening match of the day to Nazareth, 0-3, but defeated Sage in the nightcap, 3-0.
In the opening match, Houghton struggled to stop the Golden Flyers attack, as Nazareth posted 41 kills on only 11 attack errors in three sets.
The Highlanders bounced back quickly, racking up 46 kills of their own against Sage, while committing only nine attack errors.
