HOUGHTON, NY – With temperatures falling and a driving rain pelting Burke Field, the Houghton Highlanders fell to the #18 Washington & Jefferson Presidents on Saturday, 2-0.
The Highlanders created a pair of early scoring opportunities, but could not find the back of the cage.
Washington & Jefferson broke through in the 20
th minute when Alana Boyd dribbled through several defenders and put a shot into the upper left corner.
Houghton continued to battle, but the Presidents added an insurance goal on a corner just under three minutes into the second half.
