PITTSFORD, N.Y. – Dylan Lambert scored the 1,000th point of his career on a free throw 6:41 into the game in Houghton's 98-48 loss to St. John Fisher on the road Friday night.
The junior is the 25th Highlander to reach the milestone and third in the last three years. He joins his former teammates
Tyler McQuaid and
Phil Pellegrino, who reached the mark in 2015-16 and 2016-17, respectively. While McQuaid and Pellegrino went over 1,000 in the final games of their Highlander careers, Lambert -- just a junior -- still has plenty of games left to increase his total.
Lambert is the 12th Highlander to surpass the milestone in three seasons or less and is the first since Yannick Anzuluni in 2008-09.
