BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Houghton Highlanders rebounded from their tough five-set loss on Tuesday, defeating the D'Youville Spartans in straight sets on Friday night.
The Highlanders utilized a well-balanced attack and a solid defense to secure the victory.
The second set would prove vital, as the Spartans overcame an early 9-3 deficit and led by one late in the set (23-22) before an attack error and kills by
Ally Bittinger and
Naomi Prentice tipped the scales in Houghton's favor.
