HOUGHTON, NY—The Houghton Highlanders played on even footing with SUNY Geneseo deep into all three sets, but late runs by the Knights kept the home team from taking any of the three sets.
In the second set the Highlanders held a 17-15 lead before the Knights reeled off 10 of the next 11 points.
The final set went much the same way. Geneseo led, 17-15, before notching a pair of aces and three kills to establish a commanding lead. Houghton, however, battled back to win the next five points and draw within two before the Knights put the game out of reach.

COACH'S CORNER
"Geneseo is a really strong team, and we did a lot of good things against them. We tried some new formations that we've been working on in practice and, based on what I saw tonight, I think they could really work well for us.
"We did, however, give up too many runs. If we clean up our small errors we'll win the critical points." –Coach
Brianne Starks
