The Lady Highlanders picked up a big road win when they beat Alfred University on their home turf 17-6.
Houghton came out of the gates hot scoring the first 8 goals of the game.   The Highlanders took a 12-2 lead into the break on 5 goals a piece from 
Marissa Hews & Jenny Zacchigna.   
Meghan Oswald and 
Chandler Jones scored the other two goals for Houghton in the first half.
Alfred scored the first two goals of the 2nd half threatening to make a come back, until Jenny Zacchigna answered with two straight goals. 
The Saxons would make a little run scoring the next 4 goals, but that would be as close as they got as Houghton went on to score the last 5 goals of the game.  
Jenny Zacchigna had 7 goals on the game.  
Marissa Hews added 6 goals herself, along with 
Meghan Oswald scoring 2, 
Alyssa Strom and 
Chandler Jones each scoring 1 a piece.  
Sarah Olandt had 14 saves in the goal for the game.
Houghton takes on Elmira at home at 3pm on Saturday for their last regular season game.
