ALFRED, N.Y. -- Houghton men's lacrosse took an 18-5 loss at Alfred University in E8 action Wednesday.

Kevin Bigham led the Highlanders with two goals, while Cole Chapman, Paul Chapman and Nathan Moore each scored once.

The Highlanders trailed 13-0 at the half, with both teams scoring five times after the intermission.

The Saxons outshot the Highlanders 51-20 on the afternoon, with Jorge Medina making 13 saves in net.

Ground balls also went in favor of the Saxons, 59-25, and the hosts dominated the faceoff circle, 20-7.

Houghton (2-13; 0-8 E8) wrap up their season at home vs. Alfred State on Saturday at 1 p.m.
