Houghton took on Nazareth tonight at Burke Field. Nazareth's high powered attack took home the victory 26-4.
Naz got off to a quick start leading 8-0 after the first quarter. The Golden Flyers out shot the Highlanders 13-2 in the first quarter.
Houghton got on the board with 1:57 left to play in the first half with an unassisted goal from
Nathan Moore. The Golden Flyers continued their high powered attack scoring 9 more goals in the 2nd quarter taking a 17-1 lead into halftime.
Naz came out of the gates with an early goal, but
Nathan Moore answered back with a goal for the Highlanders at the 10:13 mark of the 3rd quarter.
Paul Chapman also found the net for Houghton with 3 minutes left in the 3rd quarter.
Quinn Hull ended the 3rd quarter with a fancy diving goal as the buzzer sounded. Naz led 23-4 after 3 quarters.
The Golden Flyers tacked on 6 more goals in the 4th, and out shot the Highlanders 52-9 for the game. The final score was 26-4.
Houghton's next contest is at Hartwick on Saturday at 3pm.
