MCCANDLESS, Pa. -- Paul Chapman and Cole Chapman combined for nine goals as Houghton men's lacrosse stopped La Roche College 13-2 on Wednesday.

Houghton opened up a 10-0 halftime lead and scored three more times in the third for their second win of the season.

Paul Chapman scored four of his five goals in the first half. Cole Chapman also registered a hat trick in the first half with three tallies and finished the game with four goals and six ground balls. Freshman Quinn Hall had a strong performance with two goals and two assists. Nathan Moore tallied a team-high eight ground balls while winning nine of 10 faceoffs. Christian Bigham caused five turnovers and had four ground balls.

Jorge Medina made four saves to get the win.

The Highlanders outshot La Roche 39-14 and had a 47-24 edge in ground balls.

Houghton (2-10) returns to action when they host Nazareth College on Tuesday, April 18 at 7 p.m.
