UTICA, N.Y. -- Utica scored 14 times in the first quarter and cruised to a 31-7 win over Houghton men's lacrosse Saturday.
Paul Chapman finally got the Highlanders on the board with his 27th goal of the season 1:33 into the second quarter, but the Pioneers scored nine-straight to push the advantage to 23-1 and led 25-2 at the half.

Paul Chapman each scored three goals and
Ryan Palmer also scored as the Highlanders dropped their overall season record to 1-8 and 0-3 in the E8.
Utica outshot the Highlanders, 60-15. Ground balls went in favor of the Pioneers, 46-25.
Jorge Medina made 11 saves.
The Highlanders are back in action when they host St. John Fisher on Wednesday, April 5 at 7 p.m.
