DELHI, NY—Trailing by 25 points with 7:21 remaining in the game, it looked like the SUNY Delhi Mustangs had a blowout victory over the Houghton Highlanders all but wrapped up.
At that point
Jordan Holmes hit a three pointer that began a long and arduous comeback for the Highlanders that would end six points shy of the amazing.
Carl Holmes hit his fourth three-pointer of the second half with 18 seconds remaining to draw Houghton within four points.
Moments later another
Jordan Holmes three rimmed out and the Highlanders were forced to foul again. This time the Mustangs sank both from the line, sealing the victory.
