COACH'S CORNER
"Hats-off to Geneseo and Coach Minton. They are a very good basketball team. They played well together and made some big shots when they needed them.
"That being said, our guys were selfless teammates today, too. We did a lot of good things and gave ourselves a chance to win at the end.
"We were poor on the defensive glass in the first half. We knew that if we cleaned that up that we would have a chance in the end. I'm proud of our guys for answering the call and controlling the defensive boards in the second half. We executed well and scratched back into [the game].
"
Carter Price gave us some mojo early with some big threes, as well as a couple of big shots late. Carl [Holmes] and Dylan [Lambert] were their usual selves they controlled our pace and made clutch plays when we needed them most.
"
Darius Brown gave us great energy off the bench. He was an animal on the glass.
"We're looking forward to Empire 8 play beginning on Tuesday." –Coach
Corky McMullen
