HOUGHTON, N.Y. -- Despite strong play across several individual and doubles matches, Houghton women's tennis lost 8-1 to Nazareth in an E8 match Wednesday.
The Highlanders got a gutsy performance from freshman
Caroline Phillips, who pulled out a three-set win at first singles.
Jacquelyn Lewis also put on a strong performance in fourth singles, losing 5-7, 6-7 (5-7). In addition, two doubles matches went to extra points and the Highlanders pushed the Flyers throughout the afternoon.
