AURORA, N.Y. – Following two frustrating matches earlier this week, in which the Highlanders took the first set yet lost in four, Houghton turned the tables Saturday in two total team efforts.
In the morning opener against the University of Maine-Fort Kent, the Highlanders dropped a close first set, 23-25, before taking the next three sets from the Bengals.
Houghton maintained the momentum as the headed into the afternoon match against Summit University, sweeping the Defenders, 3-0, and improving their overall record to 4-2.
