HOBOKEN, N.J. -- The Houghton College field hockey team was held to just one shot en route to a tough 4-0 loss against Empire 8 foe Stevens Tech on Saturday morning.
With the loss Houghton falls to an even 2-2 (0-1 E8) while the Ducks improve to 2-1 (1-0).
Stevens opened up the scoring with a goal by Cassidy O'Hearn 6:22 into the contest and never looked back.The Ducks would go on to score one more goal in the first period and two more in the second period.
Sophomore
Katelyn Cook would take the lone shot for the Highlanders.
Elizabeth Piszker finished the day with 11 saves.
The Highlanders are back in action on Friday, September 16 when they take on Concordia (Wisc.) at 5 p.m. on Burke Field in Houghton.
