ITHACA, N.Y. -- Ithaca scored eight times in the first quarter and went on to a 19-2 win over Houghton in men's lacrosse action Saturday.
The NCAA's 11th ranked team added four goals in the second, three in the third and four in the fourth as they outshot the Highlanders 37-8 on the afternoon.
Paul Chapman and Josh Bailey scored the Highlander goals. Each were unassisted.
The Bombers had a 32-16 groundballs advantage and won 15 of 24 faceoffs.
Chris Bucciarelli made six saves in just over 54 minutes of action. Andrew Bub allowed on goal and made one stop.
Houghton (3-9; 0-5 E8) is back on the road in E8 play when they take on perennial power Nazareth on Tuesday, April 19.
Ithaca improved to 12-1 overall and 5-0 in conference.Â
