Second Half Run Lifts Ducks Past Highlanders

HOUGHTON, N.Y. – The Stevens Ducks exploded for 65 points in the second half to overcome a five-point halftime deficit and defeat the Houghton Highlanders, 103-86.

Houghton led throughout much of the first half, pulling ahead by as many as eight points and holding the high-powered Ducks offense to less than 38 percent shooting for the half.

The second half, however, opened on a much different note.  Stevens came out with guns blazing, taking off on a 24-5 run over the first eight minutes.

The Highlanders continued to fight, but never drew closer than 10 points for the remainder of the game.
