HOUGHTON, N.Y. – Elle Reed scored nine points in the final three minutes, leading the Houghton Highlanders on a 14-2 surge past the visiting Pitt-Bradford Panthers, 70-59.
Reed would finish the night with a team-high 21 points, 16 of which came in the second half. Her most impressive work, though, came in the fourth quarter. In the final period Reed collected 12 points, sinking all four shots she took from the floor, including three from beyond the arch and converted a three-point play.
