The win makes the Highlanders 17-18 and makes St. John Fisher 18-17.

The Cardinals got on the board in the first when a Cardinal batter hit a RBI double.

After a scoreless second inning the Highlanders tied the game up in the third when Kerr roped a double into left field that scored Knapp from first.

The Highlanders added a run to their lead in the fifth when Knap hit a groundball to the shortstop, which allowed the speedy Sukhdeo to score from third.

In the top of the ninth Sukhdeo started things off when he hit an infield single and then he stole second to put himself in scoring position. Knapp hit a single into left field that scored Sukhdeo from third. Then Kerr hit a single and advanced Knapp to third, but the Highlanders failed to score.

In the bottom of the ninth the Cardinals had runners on first and second with two outs, but Cornell got a Cardinal batter to strike out looking to end the game.
