PITTSFORD, N.Y. -- St. John Fisher scored 15 goals in the first half and nabbed a 19-4 win over Houghton in Empire 8 women's lacrosse action Wednesday.
The Cardinals scored twice in the game's first 3:20, before Jennifer Zacchigna tallied a free shot goal with 25:57 to go.Â
Zacchigna added another goal in the second half, as did teammates Meghan Oswald and Elizabeth Westwood.
St. John Fisher outshot the Highlanders, 32-8, on the night and had a 20-5 advantage in draw controls.
Kourtnie Franklin maded seven stops in net.
Houghton (5-9; 2-5 E8) will close out their season at Utica College on Saturday, April 25.
