HOUGHTON, N.Y. -- Nazareth College shut out Houghton, 29-0, in Empire 8 men's lacrosse action Wednesday night.
The Golden Flyers dominated from the start, scoring seven times in the opening period. Nazareth added 13 goals in the second quarter, six in the third and two in the fourth.
The visitors outshot the Highlanders 57-12 and controlled the faceoff circle, 26-7. Groundballs also went to Nazareth's advantage, 50-13.
Josh Haingray allowed 21 goals and made 12 stops in the first half. Jordan Warren played the second half and stopped two shots while allowing eight goals.
Houghton (1-12; 0-7 E8) wraps up its conference slate at Utica on Saturday, April 25.
