HOUGHTON, N.Y. -- Ithaca College scored three times in the first three minutes and cruised to a 17-3 win over Houghton in Empire 8 women's lacrosse action Saturday.

It was Houghton's final home game of the campaign.

Jennifer Zacchigna broke up the Bombers' scoring run with her 39th goal of the season, but the Bombers scored seven-straight goals to take control. Elizabeth Westwood also scored in the first half for the Highlanders, who trailed 11-2 at the break.

Ithaca scored four times to open the second half, before Zacchigna scored again. The Bombers closed the scoring with two goals over the final three minutes.

The Bombers outshot the Highlanders, 37-9, and forced 28 Houghton turnovers.

Kourtnie Franklin made 11 stops between the pipes.

Zacchigna's 40 goals on the season tied her with her current coach -- and sister -- Amanda, who pulled off the feat last season.

Houghton (5-8, 2-4 E8) have another tough Empire 8 matchup on Wednesday, April 22 when they travel to take on St. John Fisher.
