Highlanders Get Handed First Two Losses

The Highlanders were handed their first two losses of the year in the doubleheader against the Concordia University Cobbers.

In game one of the doubleheader the Cobbers took control of the game with a 7 run fourth inning and never looked back. Concordia went on to score 14 runs and hold the Highlanders scoreless. Michael Kerr (Brentwood, TN) went 2 for 3 for the Highlanders with a double and a single.

In game two the Highlanders were plagued with errors and a lack of offense. The Cobbers took a 2-1 lead in the third and then blew the game open in the fourth and fifth innings. The Cobbers ended up with a 14-2 win when the last out was made. For the Highlanders Michael Knapp (Brockport, NY) went 2 for 3 with a double and two singles.
