GROVE CITY, P.A. – A tough Grove City College defense held the Houghton College men's basketball team to season-lows in points and shooting percentage as they defeated the Highlanders, 50-69 Tuesday night at Grove City College Arena.

Dylan Lambert (Amherst, NY, Williamsville North) sank a three that put the Highlanders up 15-12. Over the next eight and a half minutes the Wolverines went on a 22-5 run and never relinquished the lead again.
>While the Highlanders played the Wolverines more evenly in the second half, they never drew closer than an 11 point margin.
Analysis: >The Wolverines held the Highlanders to their lowest point total (50) and lowest shooting percentage (29.2 percent) of the season.
>Grove City shot 42.3 percent from the floor, including 5-10 from beyond the arch.
>Only one Houghton player, Lambert, scored in double digits; the first time this season that the Highlanders have had fewer than three players in that category. Houghton entered tonight's contest with five players averaging double-digits in scoring.
