Against the Pioneers, the Highlanders got off to a fast start and took the first two games before battling through extra points to take the third. The win gave the Highlanders a 2-1 record against the Pioneers this season and avenged a 3-2 loss on Wednesday.

Defensively, Barney had a team-high 15 digs, with Kayla Bernard (Aubrey, TX, Cisco CC) contributing 14.

"The girls played with a lot of energy tonight," said Head Coach Nancy Cole. "It's so good to see them play with determination and confidence after our two week slump. It was a great start to the weekend."
