ROCHESTER, N.Y.-- The Highlander Field Hockey had a tough loss today against the Cardinals of St. John Fisher College, losing 4-0.
While Houghton had 4 penalty corners as well as 5 shooting opportunities in the first period, they were unsuccessful when it came to scoring. However, they were not the only ones who were unable to score; Houghton goalie
Elizabeth Piszker (Glens Mills, PA, Cardinal O'Hara) had 3 saves, preventing the Cardinals from capitalizing.
The second period, however, was quite lively for both the St. John Fisher offense and Houghton defense. While Piszker contributed with 5 saves in the second period, the Cardinals were able to sneak 4 past the Highlander defensive goal. Houghton was outshot 23-3 in the second period.
The Highlanders look forward to hitting the road on Thursday, October 9th where they will play SUNY Morrisville at 6pm.
