Coach Kendall Aldridge joins the Highlander coaching staff for his second year as assistant coach in 2020-21.
The Indianapolis, IN native was a walk on at Ohio Valley University before earning a scholarship the following year. To conclude his college career, Coach Aldridge returned home to earn his bachelor's degree in Kinesiology with a major in Physical Education from Indiana University (Indianapolis) in 2016.
Aldridge comes to Houghton College by way of Boulder Creek High School (Arizona), where he served as Head Assistant Coach since 2017. Prior to Boulder Creek, Coach Aldridge served as Head Assistant at Maya High School (Arizona) helping the Jaguars advance to the semifinal round of play. Aldridge helped guide Maya to a 10-6 record after finishing 4-12 the year before his arrival. He helped develop the school’s first player ever to play in college along with several other all-conference players during his tenure.
Driven by the process, Aldridge brings a passion for coaching and service to others to the Highlander’s bench.
“We are very excited to add Coach Aldridge to our staff," commented Head Coach Lance Westberg. "His deep regard for higher education, his passion for the game, and his desire to develop holistic student-athletes in our program will make him an excellent addition to our staff.”
Coach Aldridge and his wife, Justine Aldridge, reside in Houghton.
