Bryan Hodge

After a year away, Bryan Hodge has returned to Houghton College to join the baseball coaching staff.

Hodge graduated from Houghton with a degree in Exercise Science and minor in Business Communication in 2017.  

After graduation, Hodge spent the summer as an assistant coach of the Genesee Rapids in the New York Collegiate Baseball League, before returning to his home in Colorado for a year, where he served as the Head Coach of Slammers Baseball Club and as a Sports Performance Coach at 5280 Fitness.
 
A four-year starter for the Highlanders, Hodge served as team captain during his senior year and was named 2nd Team All-Empire 8 Conference and the 2017 Empire 8 Sportsman of the Year.  As a senior he hit posted a career-best .327 batting average and a .402 on-base percentage.  During his four-year career he played in 115 games, which ranks him third on the Highlander all-time list.
 
An NCSF Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach, Coach Hodge will not only serve as the baseball team's primary strength and conditioning coach, but also plans to work with local community members on their health and fitness goals. 

He currently resides in Houghton.
