The members of the Houghton Women's Volleyball team have the unique opportunity to serve alongside Dare for More in Guatemala this week. Throughout this next week, we will be serving women and children, listening to their stories and coming alongside to be the hands and feet of Jesus. We will be visiting the Dare for More Safe House, volunteering in local villages with outreach and relationship ministry, spending time at the women's training centers to see how rescue turns into restoration through baking, sewing and life skills. There will be some community-focused projects at the Medical Center and we will have the opportunity to run a few volleyball clinics for a local school.
Each day, we will be giving a short recap of the day's activities written by the players from their perspective and what God is teaching them. We encourage you to follow along with us this next week and see what God is doing in each member of the team, but also what He is doing in Guatemala.
Please pray for our team as we are on the ground, that God would be glorified, every word and action we take would be led by Him and that we are vessels that are emptied, filled with His Spirit, and poured out to others we encounter this week.
