BROCKPORT, NY— The SUNY Brockport Golden Eagles pounded out 17 hits, including 12 over the final three frames, to defeat the Houghton Highlanders, 14-4, in a run-shortened game.
The Highlanders took 4-2 lead in the top of the fourth after
Nate Hall doubled to left and
Ty Kenney ripped a two-run homer over the right field wall.
That lead, however, would only last another inning, as the Golden Eagles scored three in the fifth on a sacrifice fly and a two-run double.
Brockport would then break the game open with five runs in the sixth and four more in the seventh.
