HOUGHTON, NY— A six-run fourth inning in which not a single ball left the infield bolstered the Brockport Golden Eagles in an 11-1 win over the Houghton Highlanders.
The Golden Eagles entered the fourth with a 1-0 lead and took advantage of four Houghton errors, two walks and a hit-by-pitch, as the Highlanders were unable to successfully field four bunts and a couple of infield choppers.
Brockport would plate two more in the fifth and single runs in the sixth and seventh.
Houghton would score their lone run in the bottom of the sixth on a
Vincent Lucyszyn double.
