HOUGHTON, NY – A swarming defense and a well-balanced offensive attack led the Houghton Highlanders to their 18
th victory of the year, a 94-48 victory over the visiting Hartwick Hawks.
The Highlanders hit 55 percent of their shots in the first quarter, including 4-of-7 from three-point range, as they jumped out to a commanding, 28-12, lead at the end of the first quarter.
The Houghton pressure continued throughout, as they limited the Hawks to only 29 percent shooting and forced 22 turnovers.

LaCrosse, who also ranks eighth all-time in steals, is only five points and 15 rebounds away from becoming the only player to rank in Houghton's top-10 in points, assists, rebounds and steals.
