HOUGHTON, N.Y. -- After exploding for four goals to earn their first win of the season the last time out, Houghton men's soccer struggled to find any offense on Wednesday, losing 4-0 to Alfred State at Burke Field.

The Pioneers posted two goals in half and finished the game with a 14-4 shots advantage. The visitors pushed the pace and were able to string together crisp combinations in the attack that kept the Highlanders on their heels.

Houghton wasn't able to create much in the attacking third, registering just two shots in each half, but none that really challenged the Pioneers keeper.
