Women's Soccer Nets Second-Straight Shutout to Move to 2-0

HOUGHTON, N.Y. – Houghton women's soccer brought the offensive firepower for the second-straight day, downing Lancaster Bible College by a 4-0 score in front of the Highlanders faithful Saturday on Burke Field.

Houghton scored twice in each half, with Taylor Curyto and Hope Russell scoring six minutes apart late in the first half and Elena Esh netting two markers midway through the second.

LBC didn't make it easy for the Highlander defenders, registering 12 shots (8 on goal), but Houghton keeper Preslee Miller was tough between the pipes, stopping each shot she faced.
