HOUGHTON, N.Y. -- Thirty-seven Houghton winter and spring sport student-athletes and four Highlander teams have been recognized by the National Christian College Athletic Association for their performance in the classroom.

This prestigious group joins 33 student-athletes and four teams honored after the fall semester.

The 2024-25 NCCAA Winter/Spring Scholar Teams need a minimum grade point average of 3.40 on a 4.00 scale for all combined student-athletes on the team. Houghton's teams recognized were women's indoor track and field, women's outdoor track and field, men's outdoor track and field, and softball. 

The 2024-25 NCCAA All-America Scholar-Athlete award goes to student-athletes who have maintained at minimum a cumulative GPA of 3.40 and are at least juniors in academic standing.
