HOUGHTON, N.Y. -- The Nazareth Golden Flyers took two games from Houghton softball at the Kerr-Pegula Athletic Complex on Wednesday afternoon.
Nazareth scored a 9-1 six inning win in the opener and won the second game, 15-0, in five innings.
The visitors spread their runs out in the first game, scoring twice in the first, three times in the third and two runs each in the fifth and sixth innings.
The Highlanders, who produced seven hits in the contest, scored its only run in the third inning.
Olivia Carr drove in
Sarah McArthur with a single.
Kelley Burnett led the team with two hits, including a double.
On the mound, Carr went 5.2 innings, allowing nine runs on 12 hits. Abigial Pitts retired the only batter she faces in relief.
Nazareth's offensive firepower was on full display in the nightcap. The visitors rapped out 16 hits, including two doubles and two homers.
Houghton had four hits but struggled to threaten offensively.
Pitts retired just one batter at the start the contest before allowing five runs on five hits.
Kareena Ulfig came on to finish the game, allowing nine runs on 11 hits in 4.2 innings.
The Highlanders will close their season on the road vs. Keuka on Friday, May 2.
