HOUGHTON, NY – The SUNY Geneseo Knights survived a furious comeback effort by the Houghton Highlanders on Friday night, picking up their 18
th win of the season, 58-50.
Midway through the third quarter, Geneseo's Audrey Hintz hit a layup to put the Knights up by 21 points, their largest lead of the game. While Houghton would close the gap slightly in the ensuing minutes, Geneseo still led by 17 at the beginning of the fourth quarter.

Kayla Camacho kicked off the final 10 minutes, and minutes later Camacho hit two more, pulling Houghton within only seven points with 2:58 left on the clock.
Houghton would stay within striking distance until the final minute of play, but failed offensive possessions by the Highlanders, coupled with made free throws by the Knights, ultimately sealed the game for Geneseo.
