BROCKPORT, N.Y. -- Houghton women's soccer ran into a tough regionally ranked Brockport squad, losing 4-0 on the road Wednesday night.
It was Houghton's second-straight loss, both by shutout, and marked the sixth-straight at the hands of the Eagles. Brockport, currently ranked No. 8 in the NCAA Region III poll, remained undefeated at 6-0-3 (4-0 E8), while the Highlanders dropped to 6-3-1 (0-3 E8).
The host Eagles scored in the ninth minute and added two more goals over the first 45 minutes to take a 3-0 lead into the locker room. They would tack on one final tally in the 86th minute for the final margin.
Houghton managed to find more space in the attack in the second half, putting five shots toward net, but came out of the contest with a 19-6 deficit in total shots. Corners were 7-3 in Brockport's favor.
Six different Highlanders were credited with a shot. 
Preslee Miller made 10 stops in net.
Houghton returns to action on Homecoming Saturday on October 4 when they host Nazareth for a 3:30 p.m. E8 match.
