PITTSFORD, NY – Katie Moravec turned in a career game, collecting 33 points, nine rebounds and six assists, as the St. John Fisher Cardinals capitalized on huge third quarter to defeat the visiting Houghton Highlanders, 81-62.
Leading by only five points at the break, the Cardinals took advantage of a 21-7 run in the third quarter, eventually building a 19-point advantage, from which Houghton never recovered.
The closest the Highlanders would come in the final 10 minutes came when
Tabitha DeVries hit a layup to cut the deficit to 14 points with just under seven minutes to play.
