FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Houghton women's soccer lost to Oswego State, 4-1, on the first day of the Fredonia State Blue Devil Classic on Friday afternoon.
The Lakers scored two goals in each half.

>> After nearly 40 minutes of scoreless soccer, which included an hour lightning delay, the Lakers scored twice in less than two minutes to take a 2-0 lead into the locker room. The goals came in the 39th and 40th minutes.
>> Houghton was able to pull within a goal on an Oswego own-goal in the 51st minute, but that gap in the score didn't last long, as the Lakers regained the two-goal advantage with a tally just 30 seconds later.
