HOUGHTON, N.Y. -- A back and forth game finished in the hands of the visitors as PSU-Behrend took a 2-1 win over Houghton men's soccer on Wednesday at Burke Field.

>> The Lions controlled the pace of play early, but the Highlander defense was up to the task and squelched any dangerous chances.
>> The visitors finally broke through in the 14th minute when a beautfiul centering pass was volleyed past keeper Joshua Smith from five yards out.
>> Houghton was able to stave off any momentum from the Lions and found the equalizer in the 29th minute. Sam O'Brien put a free kick into the box, and after a brief scramble, freshman Elijah Bailey was able to poke in the lose ball just inside the far post.

"The result tonight is disappointing but I thought there were a lot of positives to take from the game. Behrend are a strong team and I thought we matched them for large parts of the game. We had some good performances from players that haven't been in the team recently and a lot of players got important minutes on the pitch."
