HOUGHTON, NY – The Buffalo State Bengals stretched their winning streak over the Houghton Highlanders to six games, defeating the home team, 3-1, on Wednesday night.
The Bengals rapped out 51 kills and played an impressive defensive game, posting 72 digs in the victory.
Following a rough start that saw them trailing by a margin of 23-12 in the first set, Houghton regained their footing to finish a first-set loss strong and carry momentum into the second set.
While the Highlanders would capture the second set, 25-18, they could not hold back the Buffalo State attack, as the Bengals finished with two straight wins to seal the match.
